You may have noticed that I haven't been updating the blog very much lately. In fact, you may have noticed the frequency of updates dropping off pretty steadily for the last few months. The main reason for that is that my job has changed so much recently (not my job title, but the stuff I do on a day-to-day basis) and I simply haven't had the same time I used to for working on the blog. That's not a bad thing - I'm really enjoying it and hopefully the stuff I'm working on benefits you at least as much as my random nonsense on here, you just might not realise it as much!

 

The other reason is that after around 18 months of not being convinced about Twitter I've finally seen the light - roughly at the same time as the rest of the world judging by its recent growth figures and the way everyone is suddenly talking about it. I used to wonder why I'd want to talk about what I'm doing in 140-character bursts, but if you actually use it for useful or interesting information then it's actually brilliant (and compulsive). It's great for me because I can do Marketplace updates over there in about a minute, including a direct link to the content on Marketplace on Xbox.com. That used to take me ages over here. Plus I can quickly post about events, competitions and other stuff going on without having to log into the blog and format text etc. I can respond to people's questions a lot more quickly, and I've even been regularly giving away XBLA and Game Add-On codes to 'Followers', people who subscribe to my Tweets. It's quality.

 

So I'm going to keep using Twitter from now on, and I'd love it if you dropped by. You might even win a code!
