I got a cool email from Activision the other day - it's a link to download a Call of Duty 3 Desktop Communicator that sits quietly on your monitor screen and occasionally lobs exclusive assets and details about the WW2 FPS at your eyeballs like glorious graphical grenades.

According to the blurb, you even get this stuff BEFORE THE EDITORS OF VIDEOGAMES MAGAZINES! That's pretty quick. You can get the download for yourself here.

I can' wait to hear more about Call of Duty 3 - hopefully it'll be making a splash at X06. Shamefully, I've never actually played CoD 2 on Xbox 360 even though it's exactly the kind of game I like. I finally completed Prey at the weekend and while it was cool and original, all the mucking about with gravity and walking on walls made me just want to shoot Nazis in the face like in the good old days.
